Presentation of DO-RA at HONDA Electronics in Japan

At 12:00 a.m. on Friday, 1 March 2013 I headed for the railway station in the center of Tokyo in a company of three people from JSC Intersoft Eurasia, and also Mr. Mizuno, the President of NISSO BOEKI Co., and our translator Vsevolod Kulikov.

Speed trains themselves are very similar to certain drop-shaped metal monsters made to reach speeds of up to 300 km/h; however, inside you find cleanliness and comfort. The chairs can be turned back against each other in a blink of an eye, forming a micro compartment for four people. It was exactly what we did just as we sat down on the chairs in a company of our translator from the Japanese language. One hour and fifteen minutes and 300 km of our way quickly went by in talks.

On the platform we were welcomed by a nice and fashionably dressed middle-aged Japanese man who, to our astonishment, turned out to be Mr. Yosuke Honda, the President of HONDA Electronics. That was the beginning of the reception at the highest level! From the railway station we drove off deep into the small quiet town. It took us less than half an hour to get to the office of HONDA Electronics.

Upon entering the office, which was part of a perfectly clean factory area, we put on soft slippers, though not big enough for a Russian foot, and went forward gliding on the mirrored tiles of the office floors. First, we found ourselves in a large study of the company’s owner and we were introduced to the Board of Directors of HONDA Electronics. After that, the president Mr. Yosuke Honda told us about the company and listened to our brief welcoming remarks.

A little bit later, the office employees were informed that the company Intersoft Eurasia would present the project and people started gathering to participate. A total of 20 engineers from R&D and the company's management team were involved in it.

I was in my best and told about all ins and outs of the DO-RA project, of course, without revealing any know-how or other device features and then went on to the demonstration. One-by-one, I ran DO-RA on different smartphones and operating platforms, i.e. iOS, Android, WP7 ... The DO-RA device worked perfectly well, showing the true background radiation (dose rate) in the room of HONDA Electronics. The serious audience sat in unbreathing astonishment. The unlucky translator Vsevolod Kulakov hardly kept up with the translation of my structured stream of consciousness. He was making notes, translating, and writing again; therefore his brain did not work at 3-5% as with a normal person, but at 100%!

After my very detailed one-hour presentation, the R&D engineers got somehow silent; probably suffering from their Japanese mentality that could not let them hurt the opponent with the uncomfortable questions. Then I started to ask myself the very uncomfortable questions and answered them. About the volume of the Japanese market and the world market; about the technology of semiconductor sensors; about the component base with defects which pursued our project in Russia, etc. After that, the R&D engineers cheered up and began to ask questions on the subject. All the experts were satisfied with my explanations, and even pointed out that everything of that was completely transparent and clear for their technical minds.

At the end of our presentation of the DO-RA project, we, on behalf of Intersoft Eurasia, complimented with DO-RA.Chups the presidents of HONDA Electronics and NISSO BOEKI Co. As for the engineering personnel, they received the yellow DO-RA shirts with a stamp on them “Checked by DO-RA, not radioactive“! Everyone was filled with admiration...

Then the President of the company, Mr. Yosuke HONDA showed us around their technological museum with lots of exhibits. Besides, he took us around the plant itself, which was the same way clean as the office, and where we also walked in the perfectly clean slippers.

Overloaded with the information and excited, our teams went on to develop the friendly relations and cooperation in the gorgeous Japanese restaurant with delicious cuisine and sake...
