About the DO-RA Project

The Project solves the problem of public safety, offering a low-cost mass way of the efficient getting the information about environment. DO-RA is a dosimeter-radiometer for smartphones and computers, and at the same time, it is an intelligent technology for monitoring the radiation situation of the environment and the dose of radiation received by man.

The device is a unique semiconductor sensor of ionizing radiation in a compact and stylish package, with reading electronics and software (mobile application), created to manage the risks of radiation exposure.

DO-RA not only measures the radiation level, but also analyzes all the information received. It works through the audio-jack and also via BLE channel (Bluetooth) of the smartphones and computers. In comparison with its competitors, DO-RA is compact, fast and accurate in measurements, as well as it is cross-platform: our engineers created software for all major operating systems (iOS, Android, WP, Jawa ME, Tizen, Windows, Linux, MacOS) + application which is available in 23 languages.

A key feature of the device is a reasonable retail price: DO-RA costs less than $ 50, while the cost of analogues starts from $ 100. With the mass production, and integration of DO-RA.Micro.Si technology, the price can be reduced to $ 10. At the moment, more than $ 1 million of the Company’s capital is invested in the project. The Company has also twice received grant funding from the Skolkovo Foundation in the amount of up to $ 1 million.

DO-RA line has more than a dozen of tested prototypes; ready for the production on the basis of the developed design documentation in the international IPC format. At the current stage of the project, the first model of the line - DO-RA.Q is preparing for the certification and manufacturing, then we are planning the release DO-RA.Uni and DO-RA.Ultra models. In the long term, our team is planning the creation and production of DO-RA.micro chipset for its direct integration into smartphones, computers and other electronic devices.

What is also important, according to the research that was held within CES-2016, Las Vegas, in the next few years, the global industry will manufacture up to $ 1 trillion of different sensors and detectors, including sensors for detecting Alpha, Beta, Gamma and X-ray radiation.
