Intersoft Eurasia will exhibit at WNE-2016, Paris Le Bourget

In the period from 28 to 30 June 2016, Paris Le Bourget will host the World Nuclear Exhibition (WNE-2016). The event is organized by AIFEN – the French Nuclear Industry Exporters Association.

WNE is held since 2014 and already became a significant event in the field of nuclear developments and innovations. WNE-2016 will be important for the global nuclear power engineering used for peaceful purposes, and at the same time would be the leading business platform for an exchange of knowledge and experience, searching for new partners, singing contracts with suppliers and exporters. In 2016 the exhibition is expected more than 10,000 visitors from 71 countries. In addition, about 700 exhibitors from around the world will present their developments and innovations at WNE-2016.

The main theme of WNE-2016 will be the role of nuclear industry in the global energy sector.

The exhibition has a rich program of business events, in which experts will discuss current issues for the industry:

• increasing the operating lifetime of power stations and preservation of the existing ones,
• full cycle of creation, use and disposal of spent nuclear fuel,
• financing,
• new projects and technologies of the future,
• staff training and education.

In addition to the main exhibition area, where the world leaders of the nuclear industry will be located, there will be also a platform for young companies and startups with growing potential – Innovations Planet, where DO-RA project will be presented.

In addition, in the framework of the WNE-2016, PJSC Intersoft Eurasia, Skolkovo Foundation resident, and DO-RA team are nominated in the innovation contest in the “Nuclear Safety” category.
At WNE-2016 Intersoft Eurasia will be located at booth № 2B-G80, where the company will exhibit their latest developments, and in particular, a universal multi - platform wireless sensor system as – DO-RA.Core, which is a miniature dosimeter-radiometer with a solid state detector DoRa.Si on energy-efficient components. In the basic configuration DO-RA.Core measures the equivalent dose of ionizing radiation with the DoRa.Si sensor, providing a broadcast data transmission using BLE channel. The next version of DO-RA.Core suggests increased measurement capabilities by connecting specialized sensors and expanding the communication channel to the Bluetooth 2.0 (due to the hybrid Bluetooth).

We also plan to show a number of new products at our booth, which are currently undergoing a patenting stage.
"Skolkovo Nuclear Technologies Cluster supports the World Nuclear Exhibition, where the cluster’s partner – State Corporation Rosatom – is one of the WNE-2016 organizers. It is very important for us that among the participants of WNE there are not only large companies, but also new players from small and medium businesses," – said Igor Karavaev, Vice-President, head of Nuclear Technologies Cluster.

About the Project:

The idea of the DO-RA device creation has been emerged on 29 March 2011, after writing an article "Our Radioactive World" by Vladimir Elin, dedicated to the nuclear accident at Fukushima, Japan. It has been turned out that there was no analogue of the mobile phone, smartphone and dosimeter-radiometer hybrid in the form in which it was possible to create the summary of invention  for the DO-RA utility model and later get a number of Russian and foreign patents for the devices working on the basis of mobile phone / smartphone. Actually, the originality of the DO-RA device is that there are no analogues of the device which has obtained the first Russian patent for the utility model. Today, Vladimir Elin has patents and priorities for the originality and reproducibility of the DO-RA device in Russia, the USA, Japan, South Korea, India, the European Union and other jurisdictions. Priority is dated on June 24, 2011.

The name DO-RA was born on the first two letter combinations of the words: dozimeter-radiometer or DO-RA. The Russian and English versions of the abbreviations are consonant; it gives an additional recognition for the name of the device.

About "Skolkovo" Foundation:

The Skolkovo Foundation is a non-profit organization founded in September 2010 by the Russian government with the objective of accelerating Russia’s transformation from a resource-intensive to an innovation-based economy. To achieve this objective, the Foundation is overseeing the creation of the Skolkovo Innovation Center, composed of more than 1,400 high-tech startups, Skolkovo Technopark, the Skolkovo Institute of Technology (Skoltech) - a new graduate research University established in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology - and Skolkovo city, located near Moscow. Together, these entities establish a vibrant ecosystem of technology innovation and entrepreneurship. Fifty global corporations including Boeing, Cisco Systems, EADS, GE, Johnson & Johnson, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, Siemens, Nokia, Samsung, and Panasonic have already recognized the opportunity Skolkovo presents by signing R&D partnership agreements with the Foundation. The cumulative revenue of Skolkovo’s startups through December 2015 reached $1 billion. They brought in more than $270 million in investment, creating 17,500 jobs and filing over 1,800 patent applications along the way. By 2020 over 2 million square meters of residential and office space will be built in Skolkovo with 35,000 people working daily in the Innovation Center.
